Happy new year! We have started 2022 the year of making up for a lot of weddings that were pushed from 2021. Along with this brides are encountering one big challenge, how to save on flowers. Most brides ask themselves if they want to spend thousands on flowers that are going to be thrown away anyway. We have these tips for you:
Tip # 1
Decide if you want to go for fake flowers. Now, stop there, I am a real flower girl always. However, these days have changed my point of view specially because everything has gotten so much more expensive in 2022. So consider visiting your local craft store and check to see if you could prepare tables decor with fake flowers and also your bouquets.
Tip # 2
Use unconventional things to make bouquets, such as cotton. I photographed a wedding where every decor was beautiful done with cotton bulbs and it was very different and original. Consider using ribbon, fabric and also leaves. I also did a wedding where there were no flowers, they only used different greenery.
Tip # 3
This is where flowers do get involved, visit your local supermarket such as Trader's Joe and make your own bouquets. It used to be that they allowed you to order and reserve flowers but in 2021/2022 they no longer do that so you have to go with whatever is available.
Bonus tip # 4
Visit Etsy and check out a good shop for bouquets made out of different items including fabric to see it would be your style!
Most important find something that will be pretty on photos, hey as a photographer, I will take photos of your bouquets no matter what it made of. Enjoy your wedding day.
