Let me just say congratulations on your up coming bundle of joy. Now if you are researching a newborn photographer near you in the area of Charlotte, NC. Well you have arrived at the right place.
Hello! My name is Kalina and I have a master's in child and family therapy, which I used for 18 years. However, six years ago I decided to pursue my passion of photography and concentrate in portraits. Even though I never had children of my own, I have always loved working with families. I have more cameras that I would like to admit. Now let's get into the tips for finding the right pregnancy photographer for you!
Tip Number One:
So you are looking to capture the few first weeks of your new bundle of joy or even your twins newborns. My number one tip is choose one that will capture your baby in beautiful poses and that safe. One of my rules is to keep your baby safe and use wrapping techniques.
Tip Number Two:
I highly recommend that you plan ahead and get to know your photographer by taking your maternity photos and interview her for you to gain your confidence and trust right from the beginning of the process. In my studio, I usually get my clients to choose my maternity and newborn package as you save time in getting to know my work and my flow. Also you get beautiful pregnant photos as a plus.
Tip Number Three:
Interview your photographer, read Google reviews and check out their social media like Instagram and Facebook. Take your time, maternity session in my studio last about 1 hour and newborn photo session last about two hours, with a variety of props ready for you to choose. Another advice in this section is speak to your photographer, don't text, talk to her. I prefer you hear my voice and my guidance because this is how I communicate best.
Tip Number Four:
Set aside your budget for your maternity and newborn photography, In Charlotte NC there are several options for you but I want to give you a tip. Your photographer needs to have experience in knowing their subject. For my maternity photography in Charlotte area, we have different seasons and I will send different instructions if we doing your session in the summer or winter. For my newborn photography session, I send a list on what to expect for this long two hour session. Make sure you read their website and how your photographer pre-pares for your session.
Tip Number Five:
Check out style of photography, in my studio I am a minimalist and organic for all of my photography. I choose to have you be the main part of the photos. I prefer to use light and earth tone colors. However, if the client prefer dark and colors that are non-traditional with my studio, I will do those but I will not post on my social media as it is not my main style. So don't hesitate to ask if you prefer those.
Tip Number Six:
Book with time. I book ahead for about six months and I don't over book my schedule to best provide my clients a fast turn around for their prints and digital galleries. If you book your maternity plan to book for your 31 to 34 week. This way you are not too tired and still are not as uncomfortable that you will be able to stand and be in different poses.
Tip Number Seven:
After you have done research, and decide you want to capture your beautiful pregnancy photos, message your photographer and check the best locations for your photos. I offer in studio session in case we have bad weather. I also love doing sunset session with different backdrops like a park, a lake or gorgeous images for you to capture this life's milestone that will only happen once with this baby.
These are my tops tips when searching a maternity photographer in your area that is knowledgeable and knows her clients' needs.
